The Quality Assurance Specialist will be reporting directly to the Quality, Maintenance, Reliability Manager to ensure that all work is properly planned, scheduled and executed within Eastern Canada. The successful candidate will provide assistance to plan and coordinate preventive maintenance procurement activities, scheduling 3rd party inspection and repair services.

Main Responsibilities

  •     Will be closely working with the QHSSE department, Intervention Supervisor, TRS Supervisor and Facility Supervisor to generate work packages for re-entry work
  •     Participate with the Management Team to identify and implement initiatives for process improvement and organizational effectiveness
  •     Compile work packages based on scheduled work from COIDS, Internal Service Request, Backload
  •     Create Work Orders in JDE for work being completed
  •     Support supervisors to maintain area MIR’s
  •     Coordinate inspection services as identified with the Work Package
  •     Work with QMRM and supervisors to ensure all work orders are closed out prior to equipment load-out
  •     Support group to review equipment upon load-in to identify servicing required and generated work packages  
  •     Upload completed work package documentation to JDE and Operations server
  •     Provide Technical support to fishing technicians on tool inspection and servicing
  •     Provide support to the Facility Shop Foreman to implement Preventive Maintenance Program and coordinate re-work, repairs and inspections for Intervention
  •     Complete receiving inspection of equipment
  •     Initiate Corrective/Preventive Action Reports (CPARs) reports in WPTS as required
  •     Capable of initiating, supporting and following continual processes and quality improvement initiatives
  •     Any other duties assigned by directManager            


  •     5+ years of experience with JDE applications: Service Rental and Asset Management
  •     General certification in a technical background preferred
  •     Previous tool inspection and testing experience an asset
  •     Experience with Process Improvement, Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Principles preferred
  •     Previous experience in a Planning role
  •     Project Management training or exposure an asset
  •     Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software package
  •     Strong organizational skills
  •     Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •     Valid drivers license and a clean abstract required
  •     Successful completion of a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test
