33201 - Specialist Engineer - Chassis and Powertrain (15248972/001) Warwick, England

A prestigious automotive business are currently recruiting for a Specialist Engineer to work with them for an initial 12 months in Gaydon.

This role focuses on the technical development of all new and mid-cycle vehicle programmes. The primary aim is to work with the Lead CAD design engineer to ensure that the client's Vignette/PPFEASE costings / timings and initial engineering content have the necessary strategic and technical foundation, to ensure future business success.

Tying up vehicle level attribute targets to component /system level requirements. The role will work on the whole vehicle engineering and will have exposure to the key areas that influence the Chassis and Powertrain applications components.

Throughout the engineering gateways, set and ensure robust achievement of attribute targets. Report out in key technical meetings ensuring product meets statement of intent. Work on the successful resolution of technical conflicts to achieve the overall product assumptions & attributes in line with the target costs, weight, commonality and variety. Support the creation and technical validation of product cycle plan proposals to a programme technical description through the relevant gateways. Liaise and Interface with multiple functions to compile robust component assumptions, and weight data to develop the requirements and features chosen for future products

3 KEY SKILLS
1)Experience of technical analysis and demonstration of employing best-in-class processes wherever possible
2)Technical knowledge and experience of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle engineering
3)Good communication skills
