33270 - Brakes Refinement Engineer (15249349/001) Stratford-upon-Avon, England
A prestigious automotive business are currently recruiting for a Brakes Refinement Engineer to work with them on an initial 12 month contract based in Gaydon.
The Brakes Refinement Engineer will work within the Brakes Refinement Team assisting in target setting and vehicle tuning to meet performance targets for the brake refinement attribute for vehicles.
Using industry standard NVH measurement systems for on-vehicle and test rig acoustic analysis. Benchmark competitor vehicles, including development of any new tests required to characterise the refinement attributes of the brake system.
Assist in the development of modelling techniques for early identification of Brake refinement issues. Ensure that new Chassis & Brake designs are compatible with brake refinement targets. Participate in CAE, Brakes Dynamometer and early prototype vehicle pre-development loops to install refinement counter-measures before the main prototype build phases. Work closely with other teams, especially within Chassis Engineering to identify cost effective solutions to any Brake refinement issues.
