Sr. Associate/Assistant Manager- Finance

Sr. Associate/Assistant Manager- Finance (12987) Mumbai Suburban, India

The position will be responsible for financial accounting, local reporting and accuracy of the financial records and statements of all entities. This position will ensure that the organization is in compliance with all applicable accounting procedures, standards, internal controls, statutory, legal and tax compliances. This position will interact and engage with all relevant functions to be able to perform the role.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, local/statutory accounting standards, Zoetis policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Responsible and accountable for period close activity, period, quarter, annual both for statutory and management reporting.
  • Prepare monthly reporting package for next level reviews with variance analysis and qualitative comments. Will be responsible for account and balance sheet reconciliations. Will ensure accuracy of GL accounts.
  • Prepare reported financials and other requisite analysis
  • Co-ordinate with Controllers to provide explanation on reported numbers and variancesor any other clarifications for quarter and annual close
  • Responsible for annual audits both statutory and USGAAP. Will lead the discussion at the KPMG team leader’s level.
  • Ensure that the financials are in compliance with SOX and IFC related controls
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal audits.
  • Adhere to and monitor policies and procedures, and accounting policy throughout market and serves as a resource in all aspects of country level accounting. Should be able to guide colleagues with clarity and good knowledge of policies, procedures and processes.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy in TDS, service tax and VAT compliances.
  • Assist the tax manager in support required for assessments, audits and survey.
  • Serves as a very strong and reliable back up to the Finance Controller.
  • Special projects as required.

Education

  • Chartered Accountant.

Experience

  • Minimum three years of experience in core financial accounting function.
  • Direct experience in managing financial reporting, analysis and audit
  • Experience in ERP environment required and SAP environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of USGAAP, Ind_AS and IFC
  • Knowledge of multi-national financial reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of Treasury function and Insurance desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and team with professionals in various functional areas.
