Quality Control Technician

Quality Control Technician (193856) Fort Collins, Colorado

Volt Workforce Solutions in partnership with a rapidly growing medical device company which is seeking a highly-motivated Quality Control Technician to work in a fast-paced environment that fosters teamwork, production of high quality products, risk-based decision-making while following ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 regulations.

Our client is seeking an experienced, dedicated Quality Control Technician to join their team. In this position, you will perform PQ measurements, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results. Work on the assembly line may be initially required.

Excellent communication, keen attention to detail and confidence in decision making skills are a must. The Quality Control Technician will be able to communicate effectively at all levels within Quality as well as cross functionally with departments such as R&D, Regulatory, Operations & Manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Knowledge of the proper use of digital calipers and performing measurements.
• Ability to perform repeated measurements quickly and accurately.
• Ability to read product drawings and specifications.
• Approve in-process requirements by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments as needed.
• Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor/Lead Technician.
• Provide hands on job function training to co-workers as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the WilMarc Quality Management System.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or GED

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
MANDATORY
• Experience with the proper use of calipers and performing measurements.
• Experience reading product drawings and specifications.
• Standing for extended periods of time during shift.
• Experience with MS Office software, such as Excel, Outlook, Word
• Ability to use hands to assemble products.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

PREFERRED
• Manufacturing experience within a regulated industry.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
• Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with Product Development, Operations, Marketing and Production.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Work independently, with leadership qualities.
• Must be positive, energetic team player, and an advocate for product excellence and quality.
• Candidate must be results oriented, quick learner, respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
