Ecommerce Sales Intern

Job Summary

This position may require part-time hours during the school year (15-25 hours/week) and full-time hours during breaks and summers.

 

This position provides support to the Walmart sales team and will be responsible for assisting the sales team with data analysis and identifying trends to impact eCommerce sales. This position will support both product lines in HPC for Walmart and Sam’s dot com.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Tracking competitive activity on ecommerce sites (product launches, price, promotion, and placement).
  • Assist with content management and data entry. Monitor site weekly with ability to submit corrections as needed.
  • Assist with Retail Link Reporting.
  • Assist with content submission.  Work directly with National Account Managers and digital team on content and set up.
  • Item Maintenance – Discontinue and item transitions, managing price discrepancies on orders etc.  This takes the ability to look at multiple databases and submit appropriate forms.
  • Coordinate site optimization and provide support to overall marketplace. Assist with weekly item checks for various buyers’ products providing performance updates. Ensure content is stable on site.
  • Assist with Samsclub.com and Jet.com integration. Responsible with moving content over to the new platform and helping to maintain it.
  • Consolidation of weekly reporting for executive summaries.
  • Assist Sales analysts with problem solving related to sales trends.
  • Assist NAM’s with presentations both internally and externally (screenshots of site activity).



Education and Experience Profile

  • Current college student who has completed coursework towards a Bachelor’s Program in business, marketing or statistics.
  • Prior experience in a marketing/sales environment in an analytical role preferred.



Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong end-user computer skills, including spreadsheets (Excel), and graphics (PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Retail Link, with emphasis on sales force applications preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
