Main Responsibilities

  •     Design, drafting and modification of drilling tool equipment & their components
  •     Maintenance of assembly drawings, bills of materials, drawings, & related documentation
  •     Creation of documentation for drilling tool operation, assembly & repair and maintenance
  •     Assist with assembly and testing of prototype tools
  •     As assigned provide general technical support globally for the product line
  •     Assist with Sustaining of down hole directional drilling tools; working with Senior Engineers to make modifications or design new options for existing equipment. Would be responsible for ensuring all mechanical drawings are updated to reflect the changes or modifications
  •     Responsible for reviewing mechanical drawing databases and update tolerances, finishing notes, and part geometry to create consistency across the product line; develop and update various product lines technical documentation
  •     Perform various other duties assigned by senior personnel


  •     Diploma in Design and Drafting Technology related to Engineering
  •     Proficient utilization and understanding of CAD software
  •     Previous design and drafting experience preferred
  •     Aptitude for Mechanical or Structural design
  •     Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  •     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  •     Available to work overtime as required
  •     A working knowledge of standard office software, Word, Excel, etc
  •     Hands on mechanical shop experience and/or previous Oil & Gas experience considered an asset
  •     Successful completion of medical/drug and alcohol testing
  •     Valid driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract
