We are looking for a hardworking individual who is able to work on their own initiative to undertake a full time, permanent Systems Development Team Leader role at a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester.
The successful candidate would need to be highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills and sharp attention to detail.
Essential criteria:
• Previous experience of using a computer query language and stored procedures
• Previous experience working with computer database systems
• Previous experience working with MS SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS
• Be able to analyse systems and design processes to meet user and business requirements
• Demonstrate a commitment to the continuous improvement of existing processes and to keeping up-to-date with new software developments.
• Be prepared to undertake relevant training and development activities, in agreement with the Director of MIS


Desirable:
• Level 4/+ qualification or equivalent in an IT related subject
• MCDBA
• Experience of working within an MIS department in the FE sector
• Previous experience of using MS Access
• Knowledge of, and experience in, formal methods of systems analysis and user-needs analysis
• Previous experience of programming in Visual Basic.Net
• Previous experience of HTML and ASP.NET development
• Previous experience of Powershell scripting
