Permanent position
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with key directors, line managers, operational leaders, contractors and teams on-site and off-site
- Ensure NSW Health and Safety Legislation is adhered to by the HSE team and project teams
- Actively seek improvement in health and safety approaches
- Ensure successful delivery of health and safety protocol through influencing site managers
- Oversee injury management and rehabilitation
- Implement, review and develop action plans to identify HSE risks
- Report into the HSE Manager
Experience, skills and attributes required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (diploma or above)
- ICAM investigation or equivalent
- Rehabilitation and return to work coordinator accredited certificate or equivalent
- 6 years' experience in civil construction with a proven adherence to WA WHS and environmental legislation, standards and codes of practice.
- Proven track record in investigation, risk management, mentoring and leading
- Success driven with an optimistic attitude
- Expirience in risk analysis and Job Hazard Analysis
- Comfortable with a 2:1 or 3:1 FIFO roster
